Reactor in Rez offers the following research:

- Testing of construction materials – steel, concrete, fuel cladding
- Lifetime extensions, power increase and fuel burnout
- Material research for GEN IV reactors and fusion:
- Radiation testing and corrosion resistance of structural materials and fuel cladding in terms of new reactors – high temperature and highly corrosive environments
